Allan Cheuvront has been an employee of Lockheed
Martin since 1980 and involved in three deep space
missions since 1988. He was a member of the Magellan
Flight Team that successfully mapped the surface
of Venus. At the completion of the Magellan program,
he was a member of the proposal team for the Mars
Global Surveyor and was responsible for the development
of the Spacecraft Test Laboratory. He also participated
in the proposal for the STARDUST program and was
the Mission Operations Lead during the pre-launch
activities.
Currently
he is the STARDUST Spacecraft Engineer and is
responsible for implementing the STARDUST mission.
Allan has a B.S. in Mechanical
Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering
both from the University of Nebraska. He has received
a NASA Public Service Medal for his work on the
Magellan program and several NASA Group Achievement
awards.
