Biographical Information:

Max Corneau, is an amateur astronomer, space enthusiast, and lifelong pilot. Besides his enthusiasm for space, Max is an experienced pilot who began flying airplanes at age 13.

Enjoying a lifelong passion for space, these days Max is either learning about astronomy, conducting outreach, or directly studying the universe from his own observatory. Max is a Life Member and former Vice President of the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas. He is an honorary member of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club. Max's astronomical outreach has taken him to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum where he lectured in the Explore the Universe Gallery and guided tours at the U.S. Naval Observatory. He is also an at sea lecturer on cruise ships. Max was recently honored by the Astronomical League with the Master Outreach Award, the League's highest honor in this field. In 2006, Max was elected to the Philosophical Society of Washington, the oldest scientific society in the nation's capitol. Max possesses a B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an M.S. from the College of Engineering at Boise State University."
