CNN is planning extensive coverage of SL-9's impact on Jupiter. First image (from the Hubble Space Telescope) will be released approximately 10pm EDT on Saturday, July 16. They plan to offer it live with comments and explanation from scientists at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and the Space Telescope Science Institute. Thereafter, NASA Goddard will offer daily briefings (most at 8am EDT). CNN plans live coverage of at least the first 2 briefings (Sunday and Monday) and then TBA depending on what the images look like. They also plan live reports at 9am EDT and noon throughout the week with a daily comet report for release in the afternoon which will on evening news broadcasts.
