This image is an artist's rendition showing the collision of comet Fragment Q with Jupiter from the viewing perspective of Voyager 2. Since Voyager 2 is 41 AU from Jupiter and Jupiter will appear as only 2 pixels, Voyager 2 will not be using its camera for this event. The image is comprised of actual Jupiter images taken by Voyager 2 in 1979, and were applied to a sphere and rotated to the proper view.
