Jacqueline Mitton is a freelance writer on astronomy (since 1975) Ð 8 published books as author or co-author plus numerous encyclopaedia contributions, magazine articles etc. She compiled The Penguin Dictionary of Astronomy. She is the Public Relations Officer (part time), Royal Astronomical Society . She was Editor, Journal of the British Astronomical Association, 1987-1993.
