Texas A&M Image of Fragment DGRS Impacts

This is an image of Jupiter obtained by grabbing a single frame from a video tape. I was surprise that we were able to see the impact sites with a standard video camera pointed into the eyepiece of a telescope. Photographs and the actual video tape images show more detail than this image. This is not an outstanding image but the image shows the G/D/R/S complex on the following limb (lower left), the L impact site near the central meridian, and the K impact site just on the preceding limb (upper left) causing Jupiter to appear to be somewhat flat. The date is given in CDT.
