1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:
1.12 Completed WF/PC-2, FOC, FOS, and GHRS 5642 (Observations of the Impact of Comet Shoemaker-Levy (1993E) and Jupiter)
All of the major science instruments were used to make observations to support the Jupiter/Shoemaker-Levy event. There were many unusual and unique features to this proposal. A large number observations were received and displayed in the OSS. Most of the observations were reported to be nominal.
2.4 Operations Notes:
The continuing collisions of comet Shoemaker-Levy with the planet
Jupiter have produced spectacular results which have been released
throughout the weekend. The collisions will be continuing until
early Friday morning.
