clrbar.gif

The Los Angeles Astronmical Society have scheduled public star parties on July 16 (Saturday) and July 23 (Saturday) at Griffith Observatory. Note that the comet impacts are expected to end by July 22, but the July 23 star party will still be scheduled. Since July 18-22 is Space Week, and July 20 is the 25th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, there will be a major media event at Griffith Observatory on July 20, which will include another public star party. At least two members of the Los Angeles Astronomical will be on the grounds every evening of July 16 through 23 with their telescopes.
