The Sense of Place Series: Indigenous Perspectives on Earth and Sky is a speaker series featuring indigenous knowledge holders sharing their expertise on Earth and space sciences. In this 1 hour and 28 minute video Pwo navigator Chad Kālepa Baybayan speaks about the resurgence of Oceanic Wayfinding, the indigenous art of non-instrument navigation and orientation at sea, voyaging on board double-hulled deep sea canoes and modern day efforts to recapture the spirit of traditional expeditions of exploration.
