The Sense of Place Series: Indigenous Perspectives on Earth and Sky is a speaker series featuring indigenous knowledge holders sharing their expertise on Earth and space sciences. In this 1 hour and 23 minute video Dr. Kimmerer discusses indigenous knowledge of plants. Dr. Kimmerer is the author of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants. She continues her work as SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. This talk was presented on August 20, 2020.
