Gravity: It's What Keeps Us Together
Solar System Explorers

Maria Zuber
Zuber, a professor of geophysics at MIT, is one of the first two women to lead a major planetary mission for NASA. GRAIL's two remote-controlled spacecraft are orbiting the Moon, studying its gravity for clues to the Moon's origins.

Michael Watkins
Watkins is the project scientist for the Grace mission, which is making very precise measurements of the variations in Earth's gravity.

Kip Thorne
Thorne is an astronomer and author of the popular book "Black Holes & Time Warps." In this animated interview with Space Place Live, hear what he's doing now, how he became a scientist, and what he likes to do for fun.
