Biography:
Susan Barnett is the science department chair and internship coordinator at Tewksbury Memorial High School in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. In this role she manages a diverse team of science professionals and works with the community to place students in internships in preparation for a future career. Also, for the past eighteen years she has taught high school astronomy, biology and Earth science.
At Haystack Observatory in Westford, Massachusetts, Susan Participated in the "Research Experiences for Teachers" program through a grant from the National Science Foundation. She researched the affects of radio frequency interference on low-frequency radio astronomy and presented her work at the American Astronomical Society conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
Susan graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Geology and a minor in Mathematics. She earned her masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Science Education.
