Biography:
Robin Kennedy has taught middle school science for over 10 years. She has a Masters degree in Science Education/Environmental Science from the University of Maine at Orono as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Robin holds a Maine 7-12 Life and Physical Science Teaching Certification as well as a middle level certifcation. She has been a board member of the Maine Science Teacher's Association for eight years. She is on the Board of Advisers for the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance. She is on the National Science Teachers Aerospace Education Committee. She was the lead flight director and education director at the Challenger Learning Center of Maine for five years. In that capacity, she was primarily responsible for performing school missions, outreach programs and mini space science classes, for conducting professional development and mission training fro teachers and for day-to-day operational maintenance of the simulators. She also worked to ensure that the programs and services offered by the Challenger Learning Center of Maine were consistent with both their local curriculum requirements and the Maine Learning Results. SShe is an avid gardener in spring and summer and cross country skis in winter.
