Biography:
Ambition to improve upon oneself has no geographical boundaries. Born and raised in Argentina I moved to United States in 1993 where I studied and became fluent in the English language at Brigham Young University. My degree in chemistry from Argentina allowed me to work full time in an environmental laboratory while pursuing an anthropology degree in Salt Lake City. In 1999 I became a US naturalized citizen.
Having studied chemistry before coming to the United States provided me with a background in physical science and the scientific inquiry which I applied to my study of physical anthropology at the University of Utah and studies abroad at Cambridge University, UK. My undergraduate work focused on evolutionary ecology. Looking to bridge physical and social anthropology landed me at New Mexico State University for graduate studies in cultural anthropology where I completed my Masters degree.
Since 2005 I have been teaching eighth grade science at Zia Middle School in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I find teaching very rewarding and challenging at the same time; there is seldom a dull moment in my teaching.
