Biography:
Mary Lara is the Career Ladder Coordinator for Flagstaff Unified School District. She is the Director of Walker Observatory, which houses a 16" Newtonian reflector, located on the campus of DeMiguel Elementary School. She received her BS in Early Childhood Education in 1973 and her MA in Elementary Education in 1979, both from Northern Arizona University. She has attended Honeywell's Space Academy for educators and flown aboard NASA's ZeroG plane.
