Quote: "I must hurry for there they go and I am their leader."
I began using this quote when I was teaching kindergarten and thought I was leading the group in one direction, only to find they had lead me in another. On first glance, this quote may seem superfluous and capricious. However, upon reflection, it actually says quite a lot for those of us who are educators. What a marvelous position in which to be placed - being in a leadership position but constantly having students who create an environment in which reaching beyond what we know and how we share it is a mandate.
