Robotics Education Poster - #3 Delta II Launch: Out of This World
In this activity your students will be introduced to the energy and guidance problems that are faced by NASA engineers every time they send a rocket into space. They will be tasked with designing a rubber-band powered launcher that will propel a payload from a starting base to a pre-determined landing site. The students will have to conduct extensive testing and revision of their launcher design to ensure that they can impart the correct amount of energy to their payload and can keep it on course during its flight! Note: This is a 61 page PDF.
