Discovery:
S/2010 J2 was discovered on 8 September 2010 by C. Veillet using the 3.5-m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) on Mauna Kea, Hawaii.
How S/2010 J2 Got its Name:
S/2010 J2 was so designated because it is a satellite (S) that was discovered in 2010, and was the 2nd satellite of Jupiter (J) to be found that year.
