AMENDMENT TO NASA ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPPORTUNITY (AO) 01-OSS-01 entitled "Pluto-Kuiper Belt Mission"

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released Announcement of Opportunity (AO) 01-OSS-01 entitled "Pluto-Kuiper Belt Mission" on January 19, 2001, soliciting proposals for a complete mission to the Pluto-Charon system and encouraging a subsequent visit to one or more Kuiper Belt objects. This AO is amended in two ways: i) The proposal due date is hereby extended to April 6, 2001; ii) the boost capability of one of the launch systems described in the library of the AO has been changed. Additional information about this change in launch systems will be available by 4:30 PM EST on Mar. 16 at the Pluto-Kuiper Belt Mission Additional Information Homepage on the World Wide Web site: http://centauri.larc.nasa.gov/pluto/.

Participation is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic, including educational institutions, industry, nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other Government agencies.
