The recent spate of geomagnetic disturbances produced auroras mainly at high latitudes. Middle- and low-latitude observers didn't see much in the way of Northern Lights. But tonight (Nov.29) there's a sky show that anyone can enjoy: a dazzling close encounter between Venus and the crescent Moon.
