The Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) spacecraft recently posted its first (very tiny - 1 pixel!) image of asteroid 433 Eros. NEAR, launched in February 1996, will be arriving at Eros, its primary target, soon. See the image and learn more at http://near.jhuapl.edu/.
