LISA Pathfinder

Just as its name says, LISA Pathfinder is an ESA/NASA technology test mission for the proposed LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) mission to search for gravitational waves generated by massive objects such as black holes. The mission will test new methods of spacecraft control and determine if laser interferometry is feasible at the level of accuracy required by LISA. Detecting gravitational waves will tell us more about the way space and time are interconnected.
