Uranus Composite Ring Image
Date: 28 May 2007
Keck II composite image of Uranus. The image is comprised of two different types of infrared light, which is invisible to human eyes. The exposures were assigned artificial color to show details in the planet and the rings. The body of planet Uranus appears brighter in one filter (H-band), and the rings appear relatively stronger in the other filter (K-band).
