Callisto: Global Color View

Bright scars on a darker surface testify to a long history of impacts on Jupiter's moon Callisto in this image from NASA's Galileo spacecraft in May 2001.


This image uses the same data as PIA03456. The image is presented here in color that has been adjusted to more closely approximate how the scene might appear to human eyes.
