Surveyor Landing Sites

In this image we see the landing sites of the Surveyor spacecraft. Five of the seven Surveyor missions were successful.

Surveyor spacecraft were primarily engineering models designed to safely land on the moon. No instrumentation was carried specifically for scientific experiments, but considerable scientific information was returned to Earth.
